Project D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a nationally acclaimed drug prevention program. D.A.R.E. was adopted as the official prevention program for the State of Georgia in 1990. D.A.R.E. was implemented by the Valdosta City School Systems in October, 1992.The D.A.R.E.Project is a cooperative effort of the Valdosta City School Systems and the Valdosta City Police Department.
